Throughout high school, I have grown as a woman of community by actively participating in service and contributing to groups that foster connection, support, and solidarity. Volunteering at St. Raymond School from 2022 to 2023 gave me the opportunity to help younger students and be a positive presence in their learning environment. Being part of Peer Helpers since 2025 has allowed me to work closely with other students to build a supportive school community, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to those in need. These experiences have shown me how working together can make a real difference and how even small actions can help strengthen the community around me.
My experiences volunteering with the Missionaries of Charity since 2023 and participating in a medical internship in 2025 have also taught me the importance of serving the larger community. Through these opportunities, I was able to help people from diverse backgrounds and contribute to their wellbeing in meaningful ways. I learned how to listen with empathy, step up to help when needed, and work alongside others toward shared goals. These experiences reinforced the idea that being a woman of community is not just about individual actions—it is about collaboration, inspiring others to serve, and striving to create unity, reconciliation, and positive impact in every part of my life. They have helped me see that contributing to a community is an ongoing responsibility and one of the most meaningful ways to live out my values.
